    Yes, Vista premium has it.

Open up some windows. Hold alt, press tab. If the windows realign tilted in the "Z" dimension (like a deck of cards) then aero is on.

Right-click Desktop --> Personalise --> Window Color and Appearance.

Now if you get a window that looks like: [IMG] then you have aero.

If not then you have to manually select aero in that window.

Also if you disabled it via power saving setting then you should change those setting instead to make sure you get enough juice to support it.

And that will be the extent of your "WOW" factor with Vista. Rest will be "Whoa SH**!"

lolz why is that? i love vista! its like watching color tv and watching black and white, to me. i just hopped on the lappy i was using before, with the matte screen, windows xp... i was bored without even touching it. but vista's just like a new world sorta... i love this OS! RAM hog, yes. slow with 2 gigs, yes.

i think i said "WHOA SH**" to the beautiful detail and clarity of CS:Source. but when i touched the mouse.... "WHOA SH**"

The battery life should be better with the Pentium Dual-Core, as it has SpeedStep and the Celeron did not........

No crashes, incompatibilities, or not a single bsod with vista for 2 months now. Main point about vista is that you have a machine that was originally xp switching to vista is not a good idea but all newer machines are compatible with vista.
