I don't know if this should be in this forum or not, but here's my problem. I have an adapter that I can plug my electric guitar into, then plug that into my computer's mic jack. I do this so I can record stuff, use a tuner program, and be able to play the sound through my computer if I want to. I plug the guitar into a distortion pedal, which acts like an amp, so that sound comes out when I plug into the computer. Right now, I can plug into the computer and record in a recording program and use a tuner program but, when I play no sound comes out of the computer. When I had XP I was able to search for a certain registry key and modify the value but I can't find that registry key in Vista. Here's a link to the thread a thread I made regarding getting this to work in XP, so you can see what I tried. Any help is appreciated.
