    how do i make a new partition?

    i currently have windows xp, and ubuntu.
    i created the 2nd partition with Partition magic, and installed ubuntu successfully. i chose to sync my windows files w/ ubuntu.

    i want to make another partition for another OS, but my partition magic doesnt work anymore.

    i also dont mind writing over the ubuntu partition, but i dont even see it when i look at My Computer. (could be because i chose to sync the files)

    You cant see the ubuntu partition in "my computer" of widows ,but you can see windows partition in ubuntu .
    Cant you see the ubuntu partition by partition magic?

    my partition magic doesnt run anymore.
    get some error message.

    "Init failed: error 117
    Partition's drive letter cannot be identified"

    Remove PM ,and reinstall it ,then it will work,and you can saw all partitions of your disk.

    tried that, get the same error.
    i even tried getting powerquest partition magic, then norton partition magic.

    Oh, it' awful ...
    Try changing the Partition's drive letter...
    If it does not work,I do not have the ability to help you .
