    Windows key + Tab?

I think it's already on by default, if it even needs to be turned on.

If your system is running aero, all it takes is windows + tab as said above.

Same, I can't get Flip 3D or the live Previews on the taskbar to work either even though Aero is on and I have my Nvidia GPU drivers installed as well.

For some reason I thought it was alt-tab. My logitech mouse has 3d flip built it. I reinstalled logitech software and it is back working.

Anyone that has Aero problems should check that their video drivers are installed correctly.

Well, I had Vista install the one from Windows Update first. Then, I manually installed the Newest one from Nvidia directly.

Try each driver separately. Use the Vista one and test if it works and if it doesn't try the new nvidia one.

Is there no option to turn it on and off though? You'd think there would be one. But I'll try this solution.

Also do the WEI score thing, some stuff might be off if the computer is not rated I think. Works for me with win+tab

This is the tab-slideshow-view thing from Vista, right? It's working for me right away with no Windows Experience Index test, just nVIDIA drivers. I thought it was alt-tab, too, but it's been a long time since I used Vista. Title had me thinking it was some fancier 3D box flip thing like some versions of Linux have, but that's no cigar here, then?

Hi, I'm sort of cross-posting here, but I can't seem to get Aero to work either. I'm running the WDDM Pre-release 1.1 driver (found through Windows Update) and have re-run the WEI. My Aero graphics are listed at 3.4 and Gaming Graphics at 5.1, but Aero still refuses to turn on.

I've tried the registry hack already, as well as the Blue Badge exe hack. Still nothing seems to work. :(

PS: One other thing, the driver won't let me switch to 32-bit color mode. That's one reason 7 listed for my inability to run Aero. That and the fact that DWM was deactivated. I tried restarting the latter but it didn't help. I still can't switch into 32-bit color mode either.

Have you tried using the latest official Nvidia drivers from their site? I upgraded to those first and then ran the WEI. Worst case, I guess try reinstalling the OS.
