    i only used it once a month ago... i don't think you have to used it often unless you want to clean your prefetch folder after 3 weeks and rearrange again your boot files.

    I too have only done it once, many months ago at that. Haven't needed to use it again since.

    Some defrag programs (like perfect-disk) do the same sort of thing I think.
