This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     how to change back to default shutdown icons?

    I don't know where to put this but since it's based on the OS, I'll just post it here. Mods can move it if necessary.

    I was trying to set up a network yesterday, didn't work, but when I was going to shutdown my notebook, it looked like this.

    I want to change it back to the default way where there are the 3 icons.

    I did right click desktop>properties>themes, and changed it back to XP default. It still didn't work. Any ideas?

    Go to Control Panel ->double click User accounts. Click Change way userslog on or off. and make sure that Welcome screen and fast user switching is checked. That should return you to the tree button shutdown.
