I would like to copy selected folders from one hard drive to another, including system files in the folder, ie. those thumb.db files so I would not need to go through all the folders once again and re-set all the thumbnails all over again.

OS - winXP home, original XP disc is just one bit zip file that came with the laptop and which cannot be opened to get at the individual winxp OS files.

I have considered ghost programs, but they generally ghost the whole drive and not the selected drive/partition e.g. Acronis True Image. Image files also won't work since I don't want to end up with an image file, I want a real copy. Also don't want the syn folder type of programs, since those take up more space, and I will do that later after I have copied the files over.

A free program would be nice. Much thanks in advance.
