    how to get my volume meter back

    dont know what the heck happened, but whenever i use to hit Fn Page Up or Fn Page Dn, a volume meter would pop up and show me exactly how loud i have my computer turned up but now it doesnt do that

    anyone have any ideas how to get this back. its been a couple weeks so i cant do a Restore point because too many restore points have been created so the older ones are gone

    ps, im using Vista Home Pre off a Dell notebook

    I'm sure the dell crew will jump in and tell you what to re-enable or which dell software to reinstall, but if you can't get it worked out, just download Microsoft IntelliType. It works on pretty much any system and the on screen volume display is nice and compact.

    It sounds like you need to re-install a driver. I am not sure which one since I don't have a Dell. Try what Hep! said.
