probably a noob question, but I can't figure it out.

Suppose I want to remove something from this list, what should i do? Right now, when I highlight on one of them, the only option I get is to unistall. But I'm not trying to uninstall it, I only want to hide it from this list.
Thanks!

The list is what would normally be on the Start menu. To modify this, you can right-click> open file location, on any app, and it will bring up the Start Menu folder scheme. Delete away. Just be sure you know how to run the things you want to run!

But, yeah, wouldn't it have been nice if Windows 8 came with a powerful program launcher, such as the Start Menu? -
