try installing the program into 2 different directories and running the exe for each one separately

Run the second instance in a virtual machine would work. Microsfot Virtual PC is a freebeie. The only downside is you need a second licensed copy of an OS to do this.

As to the idea of installing it in another directory, that is not going to work.

Wouldn't running the program from different directories let you run both languages as long as it doesn't save settings the AppData folder?

Running different user accounts might or might not work, too.

the different folder thing doesn't really work, because in the setup i don't even get that far.

i thought about the virtual machine, but i only have 2gb of ram and this program is a no-go in linux.

any chance to hack some register?

Have you tried contacting Nuance's support team? Having purchased two copies of their software, I expect they would be motivated to assist you as a customer.

It all depends on the program. Sometimes the localization is hard-coded into the DLLs or EXEs, or the language resources are referenced in a global setup location (HKLM in the registry, or in the ProgramData hierarchy on the hard drive). In both cases there is no easy way to have both languages installed, not without a very detailed understanding of how the installation of this program is organized, plus some fairly serious amount of hacking, anyway.
