This this is really getting annoying

i turn off the dell e1505 by single clicking the power button in the middle, but firefox reads this as a crash so everytime i start up my computer and open firefox, the **** session manager pops up like the devil.

though i've heard that it's not possible to get rid of or disable, anyone know any hack that one can make to disable it?

    thanks

Make a new Boolean in about:config called browser.sessionstore.enabled and set it to false, this disables session manager
    Hope this helps

why not just exit firefox properly, then shut your machine off?

If you set the press power button to initiate the shut down process then no problem, but if you just hold it and wait for it to just turn off, then that is no good. Can damage your integrity of the files in you HDD.

In addition to usapatriot, all you have to do is two click icons max. One for the close button and no for if you get that "more than one tab" message. >1 second? EZ

the dell button initiates shut down

i never hold the power button cause it's bad for the files, and cause i have to hold the button down (when i can just click it and leave to initate shut down)

too lazy to click those 2 buttons

Calum, can you explain more as to how to create boolean and to what it is?

    thanks

    1. Type about:config in the url bar, press enter.
    2. Right-click anywhere in the window, from the context menu choose New > Boolean
    3. In the preference name box that pops up, type browser.sessionstore.enabled
    4. In the boolean value box, choose false

A boolean in the firefox config is just a preference stored there that can be either true or false.
