    hey guys.
i recently noticed that i have my cores parked when idling and i wanted to disable it to enhance perfomance in gaming.
So i edited the registry key responsible of that as found in all those tutorials anywhere and now when i run up thoes little tools to unpark cpu, it says that's it's already unparked.
the problem is that i keep seeing the cpu parked.. and super strangely, when my laptop is not plugged, all the cores get unparked ( super weird).
how could i possibly fix this?
i already run everything on max perfomance mode
    thank you!

i'm not sure but how would you explain it then if i unplug my pc then i see all 8 cores magically unparked?
i also use throttlestop.. not sure if i should change something with it.. but if it was something from the bios then i would not understand why apparently it works just by unplugging my pc..

im using this tool right here: https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/

gives you full control for A/C and battery mode and it actually sticks and works through reboots :)

edit. i tried it disabling the things but it didn't really fix.. i kept seeing my cores parked.. could i do something with throttlestop? maybe i can ask in its thread.. or maybe is it something conneced to hyperthreading? my cpu is i7 7700

nope, SMT or HT has nothing to do with it. to get the most of your cpu performance, set all sliders to 100 % for the power profile youre using (preferably high performance, of course) and set all options to "disable". that should take care of it.

hey, ty , it worked now, something had gone wrong the first time. so it's not gonna conflict with throttlestop this change i made to the parking? hyperthreading is still working now even if i have disabled parking? thanks!

it wont or rather it shouldnt influence HT. as for throttlestop, i only use it rarely so i cant give you 100% hard input on that. although i doubt it would screw up anything in TS...

so i did a bit of testing..

    i used prime

    parked cores: 1024 m - 314,04

    unparked cores: 1024 m - 275,425

how is that possible that i gain ehm 35 seconds? isn't 35 seconds a lot? i don't explain it.. assuming prime of course is testing multithreading.. unless prime is not realiable anymore

    Ok I tried
i get 885 score without parking and with parking 880... so pretty much not really a lot of difference.. the test with this bench is really quick though, it lasts less than 1 min

if you ask me, cinebench is the gold standard for raw cpu power. if you want to take away the hassle of software optimizations and their influence of visible cpu performance, getting the real raw performance of a cpu is done with cinebench r15 :) thats why i always look at the CB numbers first when reading a cpu review.

Exactly. It's really the only benchmark out there that is quick and to the point to determine whether or not you have a crippled CPU. I just wish that it hadn't been abandoned. Really needs to be updated to work better with Windows 10 (If that's even possible)

did you run into any issues regarding CB15 on win10?

and has development really been abandoned? not sure about that, they just always take their sweet time when releasing a new version :D

No problems with it other than it just won't recognize windows 10. I believe the last time it was updated was 2013.

I shouldn't have said "work better", because it works fine, just doesnt recognize windows 10.
