how to make xp look like linux??? any Idea??

yeah you heard me.... i like to make my xp look like linux whether it's ubuntu look , gnome whatever... i'm getting tired of vistaish look of my xp and i absolutely hate the default xp style...

so does anyone know of any skins, themes, icons that i can use to achieve this? anyone tried?... or i'm alone with this....

For Windows XP, you can search for the Human Theme. Don't know how you would go about themeing the toolbar though... Could start by moving it to the top?

 

it's ok if it's not an exact look of linux... a linux feel on my xp will be just fine..

That looks like a great guide! Only wished it worked for Vista...

Might have to go back to XP for this.

windows blinds is a good program

 

i did not completely followed the instructions. i didn't used the turbo patcher since it involves changing some of my OS core files. i just used icontweaker and for the icons (i used tango icons).

here's the result.

 

yeah i know.. i used it for years making my xp look like vista... but i got tired of using it... now i just prefer hacking my uxtheme.dll and install 3rd party skins...

 

now here's my desktop looks after i used super turbo tango patcher!!!

... it really looks cartoonish!!!! i love it!!!
