    how to remove OneCare Safety Scanner from MSN Messenger?

    Every time i get sent a file via MSN Messenger, the stupid OneCare Safety Scanner comes up, updates itself for about five minutes (during which i can't look at the file), runs some sort of cursory check on the file, and closes again. needless to say, this is a major PITA, so i'd like to remove this safety scanner thing. problem is, i can't find out how to do this - ergo, i'm asking for help here. thanks in advance.

    Not sure about removal, but you can try to disable the service and process that relate to this tool.
