    how to rip from dvd rw to hard drive

    i have a dvd rw with a video file that i need to rip to my hard drive so i'm wondering what program can i use to rip it?

    . Why don't you just copy the file over direct?

    how can i access the files? if i double click the dvd drive icon from "my computer" then the video just starts

    What does it show as content within Windows Explorer?

    I've also downloaded a dvd ripper off of "download.com" but its only a trial version.

    Ok, so what happens when you highlight the "dvd" on the left pane? Does it show the content?

    ah that works, but the dvd ripper seems to be making it easier cause it rips it and then automatically converts it to whatever format i want, whereas the individual folders within the disc have a lot of files so i think it might be confusing

    What trial are you using?

    Hopefully it wont leave a watermark on the finished file...
