    Hey guys,
I just joined here and I need to get some information on a few things.
I recently used the SW update to update the Sound Driver to a newer version, and then I realized that it did more damage than good. The audio became lower than it was before the update, and each time i plug in headphones, it automatically reduces the volume to 40% and it is irritating as hell....

Is there anyway to bring back the previous version and remove this new updated version?

    Thank you!

Being the cheap lazy me, I usually do things the easiest possible way.
I would just use system restore to go back to the time before you installed new driver.

If I were you I'd just uninstall the driver from device manager and install the most recent driver directly from the manufacturer of your sound chip.

In Device Manager you can go to the properties page for the device and "Roll Back Driver."

Nice to hear you got everything to work through a Rolling Back of the Driver.

*I'm guessing that some people here on our forum would try a new driver as a clean install as sometimes an update causes some conflicts.

    Some may:
Download the driver they'd want to try.
Not delete the old driver in case it's better and reverting to the older one is needed.
Using Ccleaner as an options for those who do use it to clean files that are left.
Installing the new driver and monitoring to see if it's worth the upgrade.
Maybe letting other forum members know on the proper threads that a certain newer driver works to help others benefit would be a good thing to do.

I've learned so much from so many forum members here and can't thank everybody enough for making this one of the best places for problem solving and making this hobby a very enjoyable one wherein we all constantly learn from one another. :)
