all i can say is after kis6 i thought id never use it again. i hated version 6 .. i took advantage of the amazon free after rebate deal to get myself 3 boxes with 3 lic each.. kas said they dont expire so i can hang onto the second and third and use them after the first box's year is up.. so three years for free.. sweet.

anyway i went from eset smart security to avira suite and then to kis7. i have to honestly say my system runs better with kis than anything ive used to this day.

i can actually use any program i want while doing a full scan.. nice. even avira slowed me down while scanning. kis takes longer to do a full scan but imo i dont care as long as i can use everything while its scanning. nice

my desktop is simply just fast.. faster than even with avira and to this day that was one of the lightest suites i have found. during normal use kis has 2 services and uses only 15-18 mb of ram on my systems that does jump to just over 30 while scanning but any program will jump while scanning..

just wanted to post this for those afraid of trying it out its a great program and the firewall is FAR bettert than avira or even ess imo.. i am def happy with it (for now lol)

Kaspersky is one of the few paid programs I use and it works well for me. But, so does the free version of AVG on an old eMachines desktop. Lots of people here swear by Nod, as well. To be honest, I've never had a problem with any AV app except Norton, and Symantec has made a lot of progress since 2003 when I last used its product.

In any case, glad you've found a good program which works well for you. Sounds like you got a good deal.
