Don't Delete your account, just try and make another administrator account, and see if task manager works.

Ok, well if it works on the guest account, then it's your current account that is corrupted, so you could just create a new account called 'Temp' or something, and then delete your account from there, choosing to save your files when you get that option. They will be saved to your new desktop. Then, you should restart. After that, create a new account called 'vince,' just like your old one (the reason you restarted was so that the remaining vince folders would not conflict with the new ones) and copy your data over to that account.

Just copy them to a folder on the hard drive, and then (after deleting the temporary account) you can access them and put stuff wherever you need it (i.e. in your Documents folder).

This is why I have zero personal stuff in the default folder; I keep all mine in a separate folder in the root. That way I can switch accounts or whatever without worrying about what M$ will do with my documents folder. :p

I'm a bit late, but for future reference, I think whatever attacked your computer just changed a registry entry:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Policies\ System\DisableTaskMgr]

Should always be set to 0, otherwise task manager will not work
