The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    iTunes duplication

    lately iTunes has been duplicating some of my songs. i have not figured out why it does this and i humbly ask for help in this situation. :confused: :confused:

    iTunes does so because it wants to keep your folders and music organized, and makes sure you have a copy of the track to play after you just transfer it say from a flash drive. You can turn this off, go to Preferences, and then under Advanced > General, uncheck "Copy Files to iTunes Music Folder when adding to Library" :).
