    iTunes won't detect iPod 4 on Windows XP SP2

    the title tells all of my problem

    could be a lot of things, google it. Not saying that to troll, there's just a lot of possibilities out there.

    The message would indicate that your itunes version is not the newest. But surely you have the latest?

    I just saw in the last few minutes 10.1.1 released doesnt mention a fix for ipod4.

    However the 10.1.0 mentions - Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2.

    10.0 which i guess ur running of course says - - Adds support for iPod shuffle 4G, iPod nano 6G, iPod touch 4G, and Apple TV (late 2010).

    Not sure if there is a problem that developed at some point? You never said anything to your prior situation.

    it's iTunes 10.1.1.4 and it can't find the newer version after this
    reinstalling the iTunes didn't help. now I'm a bit of frustated

    AppleCare is there, that almost rhymes. There actually there for a reason lol. To tell you its your fault or xp or something, theyll probably be of no help.

    just read numerous thread that ask me to uninstall NOT only iTunes, the entire Apple's software. iTunes, QuickTime, Safari they mean all software that related to that silver-half-bitten ugly apple
    and it worked when I installed it back
