    Hey guys,

    is there any way to change icon for a whole drive? and is it safe to assign an icon for a drive(external drive)?

    would really appreciate the help.

    thanks :)

    Definitely doable - as my Maxtor drive has its own icon (although it looks different since I took away the casing and its a seagate inside)

    You'll most likely need an autorun file and the .ico file on the drive.
    You can try from the computer too though.

    Shouldn't be any danger to it. :)

    Edit, same for my X-Fi go.

    filename: autorun.inf
    Code:
    [autorun]
    icon=SBXFi.ico

    Just put all those into the drive root. (i.e. no folder just put them onto the drive)
    And SBXFi.ico is the icon file, the code stuff is what's in the .inf file
