Compared to the old ie6 or firefox, the font of ie7 is too light for my taste. Anyone know how to fix this? Its really annoying to see the font looking cloudy. please do not say use firefox because I currently do. I am just curious if anyone found a fix for this.

    That is Cleartype in IE7.

    Two solutions:
    1. To have Internet Explorer use the same ClearType settings as Windows (meaning if you don't use Cleartype in Windows, IE7 will not either).

In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab, scroll to the Multimedia section, clear the Always use Clear Type for HTML check box, and then click OK.
The changes will take effect the next time you start Internet Explorer.

    2. Set Cleartype to your liking (you will need to install one control to do it):

BTW I have no problems with the Cleartype at all. I am using it since I installed XP for the first time and probably got used to it.

    I hope this helps,

    Ivan

Are you suppose to use Cleartype is you have an external monitor? I used it, and the text looked ok on my laptop's display, but was utterly unbearable on my external display.
