    Ive used speenfan for awhile but it didnt give accurate temps on my gpu. I decided to use ik8fangui instead for my Dell E1705. I set it to automatic control and it does nothing, yes ive enabled handware sensing and set the temps and fan speed, speeds are something like 30, 40, 50, 60 for each individual temp range. Ik8fangui does nothing under automatic settings. Its set to run at start on AC power or battery. Manual control and force fans to high speed works well without a hitch. Any help would be greatly apprieciated. On a side note is there any other freeware programs that control speed of fans per gpu temp? Used speedfan and Ik8fangui.

    Automatic temperature control
    Policy=normal
    Click options
    Autostart->Enable autostart
    Temperature control->Normal
    Temperature control->CPU->Enable control (then set temperatures and enable fans) - repeat for GPU
    Status reading->Check all except hard drive temperatures

    The app works great on my e1705 and 1100, so unless there's something wrong with your laptop, the problem lies with the way you have i8kfangui configured.
