I'm getting a Toshiba Qosmio F55-Q502 in a few days and I want to perform a clean install as soon as I get it to get rid of all the bloatware that comes preinstalled. But started to download the drivers I found out that in some cases there is more than one display driver or wireless lan driver. So I want to know if I can just install all the drivers and just expect that one them to be the right one or will that situation cause some kind of conflict.

Sometimes the manufacturers will keep old versions of the drivers on the site. Also they will sometimes keep every hardware variation on the site...

Make sure that you are installing the most recent version for the hardware that you have. (For instance if it says it's the Intel a/b/g blah blah driver, check your spec sheet to make sure that's the one you have.)

But yeah if you try to install one for hardware you don't have it shouldn't do any harm... Just not work. And you can move on. But using the most recent version is important to pay attention to.

It's probably because more than one video card and more than one wireless card are available on your machine. Install the one for the device that's in your system.
