    Hey,

I have a pretty new laptop (about 5 months old). I have had not serious problems with it so far, but recently whenever I attempt to put the computer into hybernate mode, it turns back on after about 5 minutes with an alert in the toolbar (a warning triangle) that says "insufficient system recources".

    a couple of questions:

    1) What does that mean?

    2) how could I solve this?

    thanks a lot!

How full is your hard drive? Hibernation requires a bit space (not a ton) to store everything in RAM onto your disk.

Post a screen shot of your Task Manager, that will help see if there is a problem.

I usually disable hibernation. I don't like it, and it screws with the OS sometimes. Standby does the trick for me usually, and the wake-up process is way quicker.

    My Computer>Right-click HDD>Properties
How much space do you have left? If it's nearly full delete some media and see how it goes.

Ok, but you're still not giving enough information for an accurate diagnosis.

What are you doing before going into hibernation? Can you post a shot of your Task Manager? Have you run Safe Mode virus/spyware scans?

This is a common issue for computers having 1gb+ memory using windows xp sp2. To fix it, instal the KB update from the link provided by qhn
