Look into tools like Alcohol 52% and Daemon Tools. Those should get you off and running :)

    lolz...

All you need is a "NO-CD crack" or NO-DVD crack. What this implies is that you download a small .exe and place it in the game folder. It will overwrite the old exe. Now when you start up the game using the new exe, you wont be prompted and the game will run.

wondering where to get one from

That also ruins multiplayer capabilities in many games that check executable checksums. For a game that's primarily online play, like BF2, an emulated drive tends to be a better idea.

In your case i would use power iso. First you have to make an image of the CD/DVD(an iso file). Then you would run the drive manager within power iso and mount the image. This will emulate an optical drive.

As do both Alcohol 52% and Daemon Tools ;) Which are both free, as compared to the $30 for Power ISO.

Looks like the version of Daemon Tools I have was an older one. Try Alcohol 52%. It works better anyway, from my experience.

Update: After searching through the 'net, seems like most Windows programs have started becoming a bastion of crapware. Sorry guys :)

The daemon-tools installer does have some spyware built-in, so your anti-virus might be picking up on it even from the official site, but it's optional during the install, **make sure to unckeck the 'search tools bar' option** http://www.tech-recipes.com/windows_spyware_tips1367.html
