Hi,
I remember a couple of years ago microsoft was selling office student edition for US$50, is there a similar promotion for 2010?
if not, what's my cheapest option? I've done a search, and the cheapest i found was 70 pounds. unfortunately my budget cant cover that just yet, and i dont really want to use openoffice....
any suggestions most welcome
edit: i just found the student promo for 50 pounds, are there any restrictions on use? Because i work part time and i will be using it for business use as well as my full time study course

Microsoft Office Professional Academic 2010
I've got my office (both 2007 and the latest) through this and it's great.
Cheers.. -
yea thats the one i found as well, im just wondering if there are any restrictions on use, because i'll be using it for my business as well (i'm a masters student and i do some consulting work part time)

As far as I know, I don't think there is any problem with that..

That's the one I have. I mainly use it for school, but I will also use it for work now and then. I don't think there are any restrictions on the usage, but acquisition of license (must be a student).

but will it say in the about screen that it is an academic license or something? after i finish my one year masters i would like to use it for my consulting business, no point spending 50 quid if i can only use it for a year legally.
is there a student promo for office 2010?
