    Hi,

I remember a couple of years ago microsoft was selling office student edition for US$50, is there a similar promotion for 2010?

if not, what's my cheapest option? I've done a search, and the cheapest i found was 70 pounds. unfortunately my budget cant cover that just yet, and i dont really want to use openoffice....

    any suggestions most welcome

edit: i just found the student promo for 50 pounds, are there any restrictions on use? Because i work part time and i will be using it for business use as well as my full time study course

That's the one I have. I mainly use it for school, but I will also use it for work now and then. I don't think there are any restrictions on the usage, but acquisition of license (must be a student).

but will it say in the about screen that it is an academic license or something? after i finish my one year masters i would like to use it for my consulting business, no point spending 50 quid if i can only use it for a year legally.
