    hi, gotta this problem, when i log off from vista home premium it shows black screen and there is written something with explorer.exe and there is a red option to restart... it only shows for 2 seconds and then it restarts!! is there something wrong?? i used superantispyware and other tools but they found nothing, disabled some running programs but nothing helped.. and also, when the black screen comes there is written something like LOGGING SOUND IS PLAYING and than it restarts..

    Does the message you're getting look something like this:

    "The following programs are still running:• Explorer.exe
    Playing logoff sound
    To close these programs and restart your computer,
    click Restart Now.

    You may lose work that you haven't saved."


    If so, follow the instructions in this Microsoft.com article: KB931330

    Basically, it says this happens if your exit sound plays longer than 10 seconds, so you disable or change that sound to something shorter and the problem should go away.

    thanks man, i changed it to a very short sound and it disappeared but its strange cause standard logoff sound is definetly shorter than 10 seconds hmmmm
