    just got my new Verizon DSL modem!

    i had a west-tell 327w, grr i hate it, but now i have a Actiontec Wireless DSL Gateway #GT704WG


    i just like to know is the speed I'm getting from my new modem is any Good?

    T1 starts at 3000 Kb's so I think this is good, I would be very happy I am at up to 880Kb's Sprint card.

    How old was your original Verizon modem? I still use a Westell 2200 that I got a few years ago (amazing it still works).... :D

    I have AT&T DSL, it is $30/month and averages about 5100kb/s; sometimes it will jump to 8000kb/s or higher for a short amount of time. I have no clue what modem I have though.

    Fractional T1 starts at 64kb/s, actually. A "full" T1 line is composed of 24 DS-0 channels @ 64kb/s each, totalling 1536kb/s.

    Gotta love cable :) During non-peak hours, of course

    I have verizon dsl as well. did you have a problem with your modem or did they just send you a new one? I have the 327w, and it sucks. Wouldnt mind a new one.
