Ok, I posted a week or 2 ago about IE locking and the hard drive clicking. I use firefox now and it doesn't happen as much..but I still get a BSOD with the kernel data in page error. Last night, Firefox was freezing up, and the hard drive was clicking, so I X'd out of FF and everything went back to normal.

This leads me to believe I have some kind of driver or something loading in my browsers that crashes my computer. Anyone ever have this error before?

this is not new at all, typical windows error that threw everything in "data transfer error" - meaning: hard dsik failing, cache error, memory error

one can try to run memtest, chkdisk, defrag ...

the main resolution i saw/read so far was a re.install of the OS (a few bad drive in between)

    cheers ...

chkdsk found no problems. it said 4kb in bad sectors.

reinstalling the OS is my last resort..anything else? i downloaded the usb .exe of memtest and will run that.
