Please I need help I bought a levono y500 with 24 GB SD and 1 tb HDD. Well the os is on the HDD which I wanted to move to the sad. I read a little about it and I found out that was impossible so if I wanted I should install a new Windows is on de ssd and boot from there. So I got my windows DVD tried but I couldn't. It showed windows cannot be installedtodisk.the selected disk is of GPT partition style. windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. Windows must be installed to partition formatted as NTFS.
Please am confused . thank u

The SSD is a caching drive and not meant to have the operating system installed on it.

You can install the OS on the 24GB drive, but it will fill up very quickly.

Set the boot mode to legacy first, OS defaults to other OS in the BIOS, insert Windows 7 usb/dvd, install, disable system restore, disable indexing, disable hibernate and move the swap file to HDD.

I repeat, it's a bad idea to try and do this. You'll be re-installing in short order. A 24GB partition is simply not viable for a general-purpose Windows install.

If you have the Y500, the caching SSD is 16GB not 24GB. No way Windows is gonna fit on that. The minimum requirement for 64-bit Windows 7 and 8 is 20GB. Assuming you actually have the SSD in the first place, since you're currently confusing the 24GB Lenovo (D: ) partition on the HDD for the SSD.
