Everytime i try to run limewire pro it freezes up, or limewire itself gets super laggy. Any suggestions?? my internet seems to be working fine.

Uninstall. Reinstall. If that doesn't work IDK. But I'd suggest using bittorrent instead;-)

how fast is your computer, limewire uses lots of power if u use a celeron it might be slow. And make sure that your computer is clean of virus and spyware. Also use TuneXp and Regscrub to clean up your computer registry.

I know that when I used limewire I had more spyware issues than I care to remember. It was a daily fight with Spybot SEARCH and DESTROY, cccleaner, whatever else I had.

Have you by chance changed the type of internet connection? Did you install new Virus software/firewall software? New router?

QFT. my first guess would be spyware/virus

i wouldn't let that app (or other p2p apps) anywhere near my computer

I'd stay away from Limewire altogether. It can only lead to trouble. However, I'd suggest running a disk defrag and several virus scans (using multiple application).

Just don't steal apps and music in the first place. That is bad.

I purposely avoided installing Limewire on my notebook knowing that having a program that opens a p2p transfering system on my laptop could cause trouble, it also eats resources and only leads to you accidently downloading a corrupted file which may cause damage to your notebook.

Try loading MP3 Rocket Pro 4.9

It's the EXACT same as Limewire WITHOUT all the bugs and slowness.

It's easier to download music, programs & vids too.

We all know Limewires new spam (pop-up) problem.

I personally don't really use P2P anymore. (ONLY FOR SINGLE TRACKS)

But for Music Albums, Programs, and Movies I use BITTORRENT program and search using ISOHUNT.com (The best search site for Torrents)

It's most likely a virus or spyware. I would immeadiately do a virus and spyware scan. Where did you get the program? Did you get it off the free version of limewire, or did you buy it?

If you bought it, I would reinstall it...

    Is this coversation "legal" BTW!?

LMAO! I've had Limewire on my computer for a while, I'm actually using an old version, Maybe the reason I don't have get any spyware/virus *knock on wood*. But if your using it for music I'd suggest something like allofmp3.com its only a few cents a song(if even that with some songs).

Maybe it has to do with JAVA. I know GLUZ always gave me a problem cus of JAVA based.

I suggest using isohunt for torrent files for now. Even tho it's hard to find single mp3 as opposed to albums.
