Look into using "truecrypt". It's free and open source, and works great. You can set up the fingerprint software to remember the password for it.
-
is it compatible for vista...
-
...... -
dude i couldnt download it.... please provide me the link...also instructions how to lock the folders nt not files
-
The download is here:
http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads.php
Truecrypt works by creating an encrypted file that acts like a container, which you can then mount as another drive letter. When you first set up the new file, it will format the new disk for you. Once that is done, you can copy files into it, create folders, etc... just like you would be able to for a regular disk.
If you don't like that idea, you could also use a .zip file that has a password on it, but that is far less secure (because to use the files inside they must be extracted, and those temp files don't always get cleaned up). -
thank dude.. gonna try it
-
dude... i have some compatibility problem... i cant install it... thanx for your reply...are you using vista...which place are you from...
-
I am using 64 bit Vista with truecrypt and it works well on it. Are you logged in as administrator? Please be more specific about the error message you are seeing.

here here, dude is rude.
-
.
I'm assuming - though I can't be sure of course - that this dude (oops, sorry) doesn't start every spoken sentence with said word, so why do it in writing?
It does indeed sound rather disrespectful - whether it was intentional or not (and it doesn't particularly look like it was in this case). -
cultural difference....in India calling dude is very common..
In Singapore dude is rude..
In Malaysia u call 'bro' ...
How about US?
