I just got a razr. I was wondering if anyone knew of a freeware program for data transfer on it. I already have the cable. Also, does anyone know of a freeware program that can shorten mp3's and change the bitrate and such to make it smaller?

Cheetah Audio Converter can encode Mp3s at different bitrates. Audacity can cut Mp3s. Both are free.

Google either Bitpim or P2KCommander. Both allow you to transfer mp3s and such over to phones. I believe it's a little more in-depth with motos than it should be. Nevertheless I know they work, I just god done using them.

Welcome to the manufacturers "protecting" you from doing something that may or may not be illegal, that may or may not be covered under Fair Use doctrine.

You won't be able to do that unless you update the firmware for your phone. It's possibly, but risky, and may remove some features from the phone.

    Don't say I didn't warn you.
