    Hi.

    My headphones sound great, but they are not that loud even at full volume, is there an free cd ripper that can increase the loudness of the files.

    IIRC, loudness adjustment is an option in Audacity. Doesn't rip CDs, but you can do a hell of a lot with a sound file with it once ripped.

    If you're ripping direct from the CD, then most ripper programs will have a 'normalize' option. If you check that, you can increase the peak amplitude. Given this will often cause the music to go flat cause the peaks to average out when adding gain.
