A friend keeps sending e-mail but I don't receive them.He receives mine. He says to look in my junk file to see if messages are there.I don't have a junk file showing on my PC.

How do i locate my junk file. Thanks.

??? There is no "Junk file" for e-mails.

There is a "spam folder" or a "junk folder" - that exists in Outlook and other mail clients, same goes for online e-mails services.

    Its not a separate file.

Are you using a client (e.g. Outlook) or a web based service?

Outlook Express... ui... that's old :D (yes, I know, XP, and was free :))
    - I don't think it has a default Spam folder yet.

However your Anti Virus (or more Security Suite) may have created one - else, check your deleted files folder.

your isp or mail provider might be running anti-spam on their servers that could have intercepted your friends email among many others. you'll probably need to log into their mail service via a web browser to check.

Don't the forward everything if you set up POP or similar access?
As far as I am aware they do.

(But then I don't get any spam anyway...)

Stuff that gets flagged as Spam in my Gmail does not come though to my Thunderbird. I have to go online to Gmail and look at it there. Not sure why. No big deal, as I don't get much spam, either.

Probably because the Spam mailbox is not flagged as a valid mailbox that should be forwarded on to another email client - it is, after all, just one step removed from the garbage bin. You wouldn't be forwarding everything that got put in the garbage can, would you?

Aye, but not everything that goes in there is necessarily junk. I just think it should be user configurable to make it visible over POP/IMAP, instead of hidden. That's all. :)

It probably is. Ask your isp/mail provider.
