major issues with alienware m7700.

im sorry i could decipher which forum was right for my problem. however i recently got this laptop which shutdowns randomly. i took it to the fools at geek squad and after making me buy memory and a new hard drive, they told me the memory and hard drive where not the cause. other then the random shutdowns i get two blue screen of death error messeges.

i was able to get in the os for a little while i could tell there was spyware on it.
(i purchased this from craigslist and the seller disapeared) but i dont think its the hdd becuse i even tried a brand new drive.

2. i got a blue screen of death a couple times also, that said " invalid page file in a non paged area" or somthing like that.

im hoping its not the motherboard, i can hear the fans and everything turn on. i suspect it might be a heat issue. the bottom of the laptop is very hot.
i have not tried using a chill pad to cool it yet.

 

If it's still under warranty and it's not a software issue you could send it in.

 

im pretty sure its over the 1 year warrenty but ill check.


edit: yeah i dont have an account with them (since im not the original purchaser) so they refuse to talk to me.
