    Hey everyone. I need some help. I know that by typing in word, I can make it into a PDF file. How do I make it so after I make a PDF template and then I can type stuff in the PDF file I made. So can anyone help me :)?

    I have Adobe Acrobat. - not the reader -

    If you want to convert .doc files into PDF, I believe Office 2007 has a plugin to do this. If you do not own 2007, then there are a wide variety of free programs you can download on download.com that will do it for you.

    For your second question, if you want to make fillable PDF forms, you need to spend and purchase the full edition of Adobe Acrobat. You will also be able to convert word files into PDF if you own the full Acrobat software.

    Read about Forms in How-To under the Help menu. The toolbar you need is:
    View -> Toolbar -> Forms

    Good luck.

    I use a program called CutePDF to do this. Works great. This will only convert the doc file to a pdf though, nothing more.

    You can also open the file in Acrobat and use the typewriter tool. It's kinda lame since you can't change the default Courier font, but it can be pretty handy for filling out applications that aren't set up as forms and the like. You have to make sure that you have installed all the available updates, since the tool is not available before version I think 7.0.7.

    Primo PDF is a good program that adds itself as a printer so you can convert from any program to pdf

    I think she already know how to convert it, guys. She wants to know how to fill out her template using Adobe once it has already been converted. Unfortunately, I do not know the answer. Maybe you could try what nquach said.

    The Office 2007 plugin is awesome. It converts your entire document to PDF without a hitch and has no formatting problems either. Definitely worth looking into if you have Office 2007.

    Office 2007 is also an amazing piece of software as well.

    Adobe Acrobat file, that is, PDF files are not exactly "typable" per se. You can add form fields, text fields, comments, etc, on to the PDF documents, however. You don't need to use the type-writer function of Adobe Acrobat. Use text fields for simple text entry. You can use form fields to create forms.

    Adobe Acrobat Standard can create fillable forms, at least Adobe Acrobat Standard 5.0 can. I am not sure about the later versions. Adobe Acrobat Reader, on the other hand, is a freeware and it is simply a reader. It cannot add or edit PDF forms.

    Adobe Acrobat Standard up to 5.0 (I think) could create forms but Adobe dropped the feature in later versions to make you buy Professional
