Any recommended ones that are free and trustworthy? Work for both XP32 and Vista64?
I've got to transfer a large number of files and I have to be GUARANTEED they all transferred bit for bit correctly. So I'm gonna do an MD5 hash comparison to verify.

Would the old DOS command COMP work for you. I still exists even in vista.

I think any just about md5 calculator should work just fine. No big difference. Just pick a random one

I have the md5sum command... I think cygwin came with it.
bash-3.1$ md5sum md5sum.exe
fddc152a30a9298c949c031a3b2626bf *md5sum.exe
bash-3.1$ md5sum --help
Usage: md5sum [OPTION] [FILE]...
Print or check MD5 (128-bit) checksums.
With no FILE, or when FILE is -, read standard input.
