    you don't need drivers under xp. just plug it in and power it. XP should automatically detect it.

    I do it on my laptop with XPwith service pack2.
    I don't use usb , but fire-wire cable for communication. Inside enclosure exists HDD 2,5''. After detection I see in Device Manager: Prolific PL3507 Combo device (1394...) but with interjection.
    I can not see new hard disc in My computer.

    The 4-pin firewire ports are not powered, you'll need to get an AC power adapter if you want it to run. Only the 6-pin FW ports are powered, and you can only get those on a Macintosh, very few Windows notebooks have them.

    I don't know why it's giving you a warning message in Device Manager, but if it's fully working (detected) but not showing the drive, you need to do the following:

    1. Right-Click My Computer -> Manage
    2. Click on Disk Management
    3. You should see your drives listed & 1 without a drive letter
    4. Right Click drive without letter -> Change Drive Letter & Path
    5. Follow prompts and assign a drive letter to drive
