anyone use media center? Is it any good? I have it on my laptop as it come with it but wondering if the remote is worth it. Jb hi fi near me has a package with the remote but not sure what else is in it - some kind of antenna which you put on your laptop or something for $200-400 australian. Does anyone know about this package? Is it worth it. If there is an antenna, how easy is it to install on a laptop?
If any one knows about this package and can help thanks.

Make sure you have a TV tuner first.

dont really know about the package you're asking about... however i do use media center... well i used to until i realized my dorm's cable doesn't work with media center for some reason... however using a regular tv antenna i picked up really good signals... its very clear and useful... its definitely a space saver.. also it uses the internet to download all program information for your channels so you can program it to record tv shows as they come... would definitely recommend it...

I agree with Knight, its a waste. Especially if you have a HP and you have quickplay. Whats the use for the photos, to set it down on a coffee table and show off family photos without opening the folder. WOW, yea right.

I disabled it the day i got my new 6500t. If I could take it off, I would, what a waste of a gig.

I disagree. It works great with the included HP remote, and it serves it's purpose. I think the Quickplay software is more garbage, but that's a personal preference.

Media Center is made to be connected to a TV and controlled over a remote control. That is totally different usage than when you are sitting at the computer using the keyboard and mouse.
