This is referring to Windows Vista Home Premium

When I boot my computer or resume from standby, Media Center starts up twice. Meaning I start my computer, my stuff loads, then media center starts. I close media center, then a few seconds later it stars again and I close it again. Then it goes away.

Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this outside of reinstalling vista? I've tried playing with msconfig and I am sure that media center is set to not open on startup.

i would take the simple approach that something related to media (movies, musics, pictures ..) that triggered the start of vista mce.

or take a look at ur setup in auto login, it could be that ur user profile has allowed for auto login into vista mce when the system starts/restarts

    cheers ...
