Problem is when I try to play a video clip on the web it might play one of them but then the next one I click on will start to download and the stop and nothing. When I go to close the MP it's locked and I have to end program.

From there on MP will not activate at all and I have to reboot. I can't seem to find a solution for this, even searching the web for similar problems that people are having.

As far as I can tell, all my Codecs are up ti date.

I'm using IE7 and XP Media Edition.

It is a common problem. You don't need to restart though - just kill the process in taskmanager. I found it was something wrong with quicktime and real alternative software and removed it. Now it works for the most of the time, but still hangs occassionaly. If I download the file first and then open it it works well.

I don't know what is causing this and Microsoft has nothing on it.

Once it locks up and I right click close, it goes to will end program and then I send the error to MS. Once I do that it's not in taskmanager anymore and will not activate again. That's why I have to reboot. I have not installed quicktime yet so I don't think that's the problem.

Your right, downloading the clip first and then playing works fine, never have had a problem after that, just playing from the internet.

I did install a movie editing program called Magix "Movie Edit Pro 11" and it seemed to start then but I'm not sure.
