    hey guys..

here i am back again with another (probably dumb) query :D

hey ..VLC, WMP, DivX player, Real player, quicktime, winamp.. all these play media files..seems like till day only VLC had been able to play almost all kinda file..be in a vob or flv.. so ..does it make any sense to remove other players from the machine.. ?

any codec which is loaded with everything..

or to cut everything short..which would be the best media player out there..??

    :) thanks ppl..

I also use Media Player Classic
I do find that VLC is still needed to play some files though

Are you fully HDCP compliant (BR, Vista, HDMI etc etc)?

If not, Nero seems to play anything thrown at it at 1080p, although you may need AnyDVD.

Otherwise I'd second Tom- and suggest WMP Classic with the K-lite codec pack.

One of the things I like about VLC is it is very clean. It doesn't install codecs all over your system and interfere with other media apps. It keeps them all in its own directory. Is this the case with KMPlayer?
