    hey guys i like my windows dvd maker but i'm looking for a program thats most used that isn't windows. or should i just stick with my windows program?

    What do you mean by 'DVD Maker'? I mean what kind of DVDs are you making? That determines what the 'best' software is...

    well i got a few movies i'm trying to burn to dvd which are mp4 files and windows dvd maker doesn't allow that so i'm trying to look for a program that does so i don't have to do any converting.

    Most video formats do require to be converted before burned into DVD movies. However, there are some burning softwares that do the converting built-in as you add the files to the burning project. I think Nero/Ashampoo Burning Studio does this, though I'm not sure because I haven't tried doing it.
