Microsoft Windows does not have support for relocating vital system files and folders. The only way you might be able to do this is to hack the registry or write a hack for Windows.

ok ill look for that. i think it will be a big performance enhancement

What kind of temp files are you talking about? You already have 4GB of RAM, so what kind of performance are you expecting to see? If you're doing a lot of video or something like that, you should be able to tell the video app what to use for temp space.

It is actually fairly easy to do this (well, within reason)...first you need to ask yourself, what temporary files?
Internet Exploer 7
TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > GENERAL tab, SETTINGS button in BROWSER HISTORY section, click on MOVE FOLDER when the dialogue box appears and browse to the new location (create the new temp internet folder location first)
Windows Temp Files
Right click COMPUTER, choose PROPERTIES, choose ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS, click ON ENVIRONMENTAL VARIABLES
Edit the USER VARIABLES for TEMP and TMP
EDIT THE SYSTEM VARIABLES for TEMP and TMP
(point them at new/desired temp locations)
This will take care of all WINDOWS and IE temporary files --it will not address other browser tempoary files, or some programs that create tempoary files (photoshop and the scratch disk being a good example). Thos you need to change within the program preferences. -

Can't think of any real positives from doing this---if the second drive is a faster drive, it may result in faster installs....one thing that might be cool is to install a ram drive and redirect your temp files to that. I suspect you would see blazing fast installs.

well i know about computers and i can do alot with it but i wouldnt have the slights clue how to do that

All modern operating system use disk caches in RAM, so there's no need to move anything onto a RAMdrive like that. Pretty much any writing that's done to a disk is written into RAM, then will get flushed to the disk when the system has a chance. I admit it sounds interesting at first, but there's not a huge benefit on a desktop system.
This is why it's so important to shutdown properly instead of turning off the power. The shutdown process mainly syncs all of the data in RAM to the disk. -
ok, im there, but im not seeing the drive here...i can see it in Devise Management, but that doesnt offer any formating options...
EDIT, i dont know why, but im just seeing what u said in ur fierst reply
"That info you put in, it says the CD and hdd are Primary slave. Is this an error? Or did u mistype it? Did u jumper the 2nd hdd?" -

im not getting you what your problem is
i think your trying to say the you already had one hdd and you bought a 2nd one but when you placed it in. it is showing in your device manager but that is it.
in order to format it go to
start and right click computer(my computer)
manage
in the left pane under STORAGE click
DISK MANGEMENT
there you should see you missing hdd and format it to your liking
moving temporary files to next hard drives
