First - check with your work's IT department to see if you can even check your work email from home.

Second - you won't have access to any emails already downloaded from the server to your work PC.

Third - if you can check your email from home, emails downloaded at home won't be available at work (unless you choose to keep a copy on the server, which is an advanced option for each account you set up in Outlook).

Forth - why do you want to do work at home?!?

IT will give all the details in how to access email from home. They have to probably set up the firewall in order for you to do so.
