I use a selective startup in msconfig to load only the programs I want. Everytime I game, I chose a different selective startup and reboot to load only the minimum necessary things to game, to take advantage of all my resources.

Is there an easy way to not have to check/uncheck items everytime I do this?

I dislike having more than one user active on the laptop, to prevent the creation of user folders in C:/users.

    Can you suggest any solution?

    thanks.

I have created a 2nd user profile, but when changing startup config from msconfig, it changes for both users.

I understand what is stated in this thread, but is there a way to do it w/o manually editing the registry? I find that rather scary...

    thanks.
