    Hi all...

Im currently looking @ my startup tab in msconfig, anyone know what these programs are?

NA (startup item) NA (command) HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\\windows\currentversion\Run (location)

Then, there is one with blank spaces for startup and command with a check box..

also, im curious as to what the view point manager is... and if i should have it starting up.

    thanks for any help

Viewpoint is a different kind of media player akin to a flash player that certain companies use. I think I've seen it used on a few car company sites to display 360 degree views of their cars. However, it is installed quitely with AIM and does track your website visitation habits. See the following link. If you don't need it for anything, best to just remove it, though it is still up in the air whether it really is spyware.

I disable everything in my msconfig except for antivirus and NHC. Quick boot up times.

unless u play with NVDIA settings all the time, zap them

audio tray from ur driver, if u r happy with windows icon and sound management, zap it

u turn on and off ur touchpad? or u can be happy with the settings control within windows management - zap it

    cheers ...

To have even better boot up times go to run ---> services.msc then google all the services to find out which ones are required. I was able to disable 17 or so services doing this. And now my bootup time is 11 seconds faster.

it exists many opinions regarding this - i personally tried both, but now i m sticking with leaving it ON - some windows updates just do not work too well with it disabled (for my anyway)

    cheers ...
