I tried to find the Temporary Internet Files folder, supposed to be in the "temp" folder, but there is none. Using search, it resulted nothing, so it seems my computer doesn't have it at all. The "temp" folder (in "documents and settings/username/local settings") also doesn't contain anything that I have just viewed on the Internet. Where can I find the contents I viewd from the Internet? (I'm on Windows XP professional)

    Thanks for any help!

The Temporary Internet Files folder should be in the 'local settings' folder you show a path for. In order to see it you need to make sure in the Tools>Folder>Options>View settings in Windows Explorer you have selected 'Show hidden files and folders' (This is required to show the Temporary Internet Files folder) and possibly a check mark next to 'Display contents of system folders' (This may not be required). The History folder of course shows the Web Sites you visited in the last couple of weeks.

To see the 'current location' of the 'Temporary Internet Files' folder perform the following within IE (to make sure it has not been moved). Select Tools>General>Browsing History>Settings and on that page it will show you the ‘Current Location’ of the folder. It is also possible to to move the location of the Temporary Internet Files folder if you wish (at least you can in IE8, I don't know about previous versions).
